Rollerblading actually seems cool, I know it makes you look like an idiot but it's a lot like skiing as far as grinds are concerned and I think it could maybe? improve your rail skiing yes i know this is a run on sentence.

Rollerblading, it's just like skateboarding except that the wheels have no chance of leaving your feet and you have a "grind plate" to make sliding anything easier, AS IF THE FUCKING BOOTS ATTACHED TO YOUR FEET WERE NOT ENOUGH.

i'm too lazy to find the trick but in inline, switch is fakie, unnatural is switch, and if it was inbetween wheels it was either a torque or a backslide. if it was on the souls it's either a makio or a fish which is a topside makio.

no shit. all the hate is completely arbitrary and in my experience the community is way more supportive and friendly than skiing or skateboarding because it's so small and close knit. also, dudes shred so much harder than you can realize from videos. watching montre learn fakie misties first try and throw hurricane topsouls in person like it's no big deal was mindblowing

ao = start forward, spin into rail
true = start forward, spin blind onto rail
zerospin = fakie approach, fakie on (not too complicated)
inspin = start fakie, spin towards rail
outspin = start fakie, spin over far shoulder
hurricane = forward 360 away from rail (not 100% on this one)

imo inline is way better looking when they do swaps and spins out and just do simple middle underfoot grinds. That way it mirrors skiing and it looks G

hate to break it to you but skiing as we know it has not been around for anywhere close to 1000 years, sure cross country skiing has been but thats pretty dam similar to roller blading. And besides skateboarding was just a childish adaptation of skateboarding.

somebody used rollerskates in the mid 1700's or so. skateboarders did use rollerblade wheels at first, until they used clay which was a dumb idea cause they melted.

stop arguing. realize that trick difficulty aside, everyone else thinks skiers dress like idiots and lack style and that you all just rip off snowboarders which may or may not be true but might as well be true because thats what people think. Only you who ski see style where others don't.

inb4 skiers don't care what others think, skaters don't either so all this is pointless.

Can't we all just love each other and have a big skateboarder inline skater orgy? I mean seriously, I don't understand why this is something that needs to be argued about constantly. Skating is fun. Rollerblading is fun. Scootering is fucking fun. Why does it matter which sport looks "cooler"? If you find it fun, nobody should be stopping you from doing it.
