Replying to A Park Rat's Adventures Into The Unknown
Here's the deal, I ski park, I've always skied park. Consequently, I suck in pow. I do however do want to learn how to not suck in pow, so that's why I'm making this thread.
In the past my endeavours into the deeper stuff have resulted in me laying back as hard as I can on my tails, getting severe shinbang and diving into the snow and totally getting my Tall T soaked...
What I would like is advice on how to learn to ski deep stuff and what sort of skis would suit me learning to ski fresh snow properly. I wouldn't be planning on skinning or hiking anywhere, but I would like to be able to enjoy the untracked snow between runs and be able to hit some kickers/drops on the side here and there.
My spec: 1.88m (6'2), 75kg (165lbs), Size 11 shoe, brown hair & eyes. Usually ski in Sweden, but will probably be going to the Alps more in the next few years, hence the interest in deeper snow.
I currently ride Head JO Pros (love them) and I'm fairly proficient in the park - I can do some flips n' shit.
Any advice is of course welcome!
So is pretty much anything else, make me laugh!
