Skis that ski switch the best

out of all the skis that are full camber, under 90mm underfoot and mostly symmetrical (<10mm difference between tip and tail width) would anyone recommend a ski that skied particularly good switch

Yeah the Atomic Punx is really easy to ski switch. But keep in mind that most switch skiing skill is just that...skill. Take time to get your technique right and you can do it on any ski. Make sure your skis are very close together, rather than split. If you look around your left shoulder (like I do) then your left toe piece should be level with your right heel piece. Ie. The skis are staggered. This will open your hips up and make it easier to see when you're going. Keep in mind this makes more sense when going across a slope or turning in a wide arc, rather than aiming straight down the slope, but with practise you'll get it going straight as well. To turn while skiing switch just gently rotate your hips and put more pressure on the leading ski. Ie. If looking around your left shoulder push your left hip back further and put more pressure on the left ski and see what happens.

It depends on what you mean "best". Despite what you might think, skis behave in a turn the same forward as backward. So the hardest carving ski switch is the hardest carving ski forward. I guess symmetrical skis are the most "catch free" and mild feeling ski when switch, just as they are forward. Im not crazy about symmetrical skis, I like something you can really rip on forward and backwards.

IMO: Nordica Firearrow 84 pro. Demo that shit!

ive skied k2 fujatives, kung fujas, afterbangs, ar6s, thalls to name a few. so i know how different skis feel skiing switch what i was mainly wondering is if anyone has had a ski that stood out to them amongst the rest for skiing switch. for example ive heard scott punishers ski and take jumps switch phenomenally(despite being much different from alot of park skis) and that the rossi scratch has its nose made specifically to improve switch riding

This. Look at any pro. no one skis switch better cause they have the better ski. Its all about your skill.

TO ANYONE ABOUT TO POST IN THIS THREAD

i appreciate any feedback anyone is willing to give but please read the OP. which states that i am only concerned about skis that are  "full camber, under 90mm underfoot and mostly symmetrical (<10mm difference between tip and tail width)". to be quite frank its cool that your "Filthy Riches ski backwards pretty damn well" but it is irrelevant to the OP so i dont much care about your opinion on them.

We understand that you want a ski that is under 90 for underfoot and that you want it to be symmetrical.

But when people post here in Gear talk the "helping group" assumes when statements like "what skis best kinda question" they assume you don't know what your talking about. You obvisly have ridden multiple skis and have experince on diffrent skis.

Now were not trying to be condesnding. Were trying to explanin that it comes down to personal prefrence when chosing skis. I ride the AR7 and think it kills it forword and switch. But I know people who say the AR7 sucks switch. I see B ooby Brown cking                                 personal preference.

But I dont want to let you think that Newschoolersd is full a bunch teenage retards or drunken old guys (Im drunk right now). So here is a list of Sub 90 underfoort, skis that are symmetrical: Keep in mind that this is not all of them. Just a short list.

Volkl Ledge, Salomon threat, Armada AR7,thall and halo and Alpha 1 and Pipe cleaner, K2 sight, K2 press, Volkl Kink, Volkl Step Skis, Icelantic Da'Nollie, Moment jib ski, Liberty Antigen, 4FRNT Switchblade, Liberty LTE Skis, 4FRNT Click, Rossignol Scratch.

Hope this helps alittle

i understand that why they wouldnt assume me to be a good skier but i didnt mean to sound like i was annoyed that people didnt give me a perfect reply. just trying to stress that it wasnt a response i was looking for

thie reply, alexg1687 and 50kal's reply were the type of replies i was looking for. for people to say if or if not, the details i had listed made a significant difference and why or why not. the list of skis in that range was appreciated also
