Real Estate Salesperson

I have the opportunity to become a real estate salesperson (not broker) starting the middle of this summer and into the semester at school in the boston area.  Primarily I will be renting to sophomores who need to get off campus housing for junior year like me. 

I'm just wondering if anyone on here has done this before and if so,  what is it like, what can I expect for pay, how much time do I need to devote to make some money. 

Is this job worth it? Can i make some good cash?

I can guarantee you probably me and maybe two other people have experience with this. And I helped rent out my dad's house at mount snow Vermont but he sold it a while back. Anyway enough about me on my Ambien rant go ask someone else somewhere else.

sorry I don't have experience with it, but wonder the same. I found that in SLC they are wildly recruiting real estate agents to the point it seems too good to be true. I contacted two big agencies, both who got back to me and want me to start with them ASAP. Makes me wonder if it's just some big legal ponzi scheme, besides me needing to pass a background check it makes me think there are no standard for these jobs. compare it to jobs where maybe 10 out of 100 applicants might get an interview, and out of those 10 interviews one job is given. but suddenly in real estate you can just pick up a job? it's not like I've never known anybody who's thought real estate would be a sweet gig...sounds sweet, too sweet

better than working on a fuggin oil rig

Im not a broker but i work in real estate.
Just be prepared to work weekends and other times when most people are off of work. You can make decent money but you have to be a hustler. Just build a good reputation for yourself with property owners and do right by your clients no matter how much of a pain in the ass they are and you can build a nice little business for yourself.

Is it commission or salary? I feel like it's probably commission and if it is, how much money you make is gonna be completly based off how good you are at it.
