After a season of skiing, the summer is here and it is time to SCUBA dive! Can anyone tell me if it is worth it to get the red filter for the gopro dive housing so that the movie isnt as green? Thanks.
As an experienced diver, the best investment you can make for your underwater setup is a video light. A red filter is not an exact science and it can wreck the quality of your video. A light will bring a natural red wavelength back into the image. As you go deeper, the light will bring back the yellows and greens. Remember, red disappears at 20ft and yellow at 35ft. This is a lot shallower than most dives go. This is also all natural unlike a red filter, which is equivalent to simulating red.
It's definitely worth it for a cheaper option then, but as the guy above me said it can be a little hard to get it totally right. It will definitely be better than what you have now though, and you can always do small color correction changes in post
I was waiting for you to find buried treasure or get attacked by a shark, idk why. Probably because I hope the first happens and the second doesnt when I dive
