Read back to the first page. My buddy used a skid steer to move all the snow around, all 17 truck loads of it. All of that snow was from a parking lot to, so it wasn't the cleanest snow. If you're using the snow from your yard, that's pure stuff. As long as you have frozen ground, and a decent layer of snow, you won't hurt anything by being in there with a shovel and your boots.
Then read forward to my latest post and pictures. Grass is very alive and very well, hardly any gravel. And that was 3 weeks ago already. Shits green now. Has to be one of the best examples of doable, and yard safe a setup is. If that much snow, that much equipment, and it being shredded pretty hard isn't, then I dunno what is.
