rsilversHe me understand why I don't want demo bindings. My ski experience is limited to 31 sessions and about 500,000 vertical feet and 280 linear miles.
The reason why I specifically sought out demo bindings was NOT because I wanted others to use my skis. I wanted to be able to experiment with binding location for myself. I have tried positions at the factory location, and 20mm forward. If I have regular bindings mounted, how will I know that they put them in my ideal location based on my weight distribution, stance, ski boot angle, etc? Imagine if your car seat was fixed to one position decided on by the car dealer and you could never really change it? Imagine if your bike stem was set by the bike shop, and you could not really change it after you rode for a while? That is what is going on in my mind.
But I see that the upside to normal bindings is:
1. Lower weight.
2. Fewer parts - maybe more reliable.
3. More natural flex on skis (does Atomic Arc solve that?)
4. Closer to ski (is this important?)
Thank you.
