Konova Slider on Sachtler Ace?

I'm sure this has been asked and answered before but I did a search and couldn't find anything...So, has anyone used this combination? Hows does it work? Can you even put a slider on the Ace? Thanks!

I don't see why it wouldnt work. You would have to put the slider on the tripod head, however. Then you can use a ball head or another fluid head, or even just a QR plate on top of the slider.

Gotcha. That's actually what I was thinking about doing. Seems like it will look pretty well and save me some money...You have any first hand experience with the Ace?

No, i personally havent had any first hand experience with it. From what i hear though, its great for the price. Most people love it. Some people do say the legs are a little sub par. However, you are mostly paying for the head.

It would work, but when I used the Ace with a Glidetrack (friction based, but VERY smooth for a friction based slider) the shots weren't very smooth. I'm sure a ballbearing slider would work much better though.

yeah that's my hope as well with the ballbearing slider. If not I can always return the Ace for something better...What was your strategy for attaching the slider to the tripod?
