Times when I wish I ski

When I am strapping in, when skiers pass me on the flats because they have poles, when skiers get the perfect speed for a jump because they have poles and can slowdown but not change their angle, when I get sodomized on a kink because I slipped out of a back board.  WHEN SKIERS DO FRONT 2 and only move their feet!  When I watch twall, edollo, traveling circus.  When I see a skier do a mute grab, when I see a skier 450 out.

No, but seriously, switch over. Snowboarding hype is declining. Skiing has always stayed roughly the same. Hell, go for snowblades if you so desire.

i wouldnt mind snowboarding some time, too be honest. like just to try, because i am a skier through and through. Though, i do get a lot of hate when i tell people i ski. like damn, cause snowboarding automatically makes you not a gaper.

times I love to snowboard when there's 6 inches of fresh, it feels like your floating or on a surfboard. other than that skis all day

the amount of snowboarders is still in fact increasing but not at such a rapid rate as it was in the past. I know the article you're talking about and they say the average snowboarder goes like 6.2 times a year and the average skier goes like 5.6, if you only go snowboarding or skiing 6 times a year then you aren't a snowboarder or a skier, you just go snowboarding or skiing.

seriously man, switch. my friend did that and caught on to skiing super quick, he was doing 5's and 270s before his first season as a skier ended

If I'm honest I might have actually snowboarded if it wasn't for newschoolers

the boots are fucking amazing, presses are piss easy and all that, there's advantages to each, but newschoolers is undoubtedly the best sport forum around imo.

The only thing I'm jealous of snowboarders is how fucking easy it is to front flip on a snowboard! You don't need skill or even a jump you can just do them off knuckles

Skiers need to try snowboarding and vice versa. There is too much hate between the two from people that haven't even tried both. I snowboarded a couple times the season for the first time (skied about 70 times this season for some perspective), got to the point where I could link turns down groomers and it was pretty fun! I'm still definitely a skier, but people should atleast try both so they actually know what it is like.

snow boarding does not have anyhting close to the community THAT YOU ARE ON RIGHT NOW. also, a lot of snow boarders are ass holes that ive met.

Makes sense to me. I like skiing more on groomers and hard pack all mountain because you just have more control than snowboarding but snowboarding powder is pretty great. In the park they're both sick in their own way.
