^ yes please do that. we don't want you coming back infected. check out all of the gold buddah's and temples they've got. those are amazing. stay away from the really poor parts. bring your own water or drink bottled and definitely don't forget anti-diarrhea medicine sometimes the food isn't so nice. also go check out the monks

dont point your feet at anyone, dont touch anyones' head, dont make out in public, if you see a movie dont forget to stand for the king's song, uhhhh.....try not to be a complete ass like half the tourists here, dont spend all your time at Siam shopping, do use the skytrain and subway, and dont be out when it's dark in a sketchy area. Do not piss anyone off, you can bribe a cop with 200-500 baht, carry ID, if you visit Jatuchuck market make sure you bring a money belt and not a backpack.

DON'T CROSS BORDERS WITH DRUGS!!!

Can't emphasise that enough.

Know a bloke or two who have ended up in Thai jails.
It is so hectic and sketchy it is honestly terrifying.

Also avoid some of the Southern provinces that are real unruly at the moment.


Bribery is common place in Thailand, but be real careful doing it as a westerner.
My advice would be not to try unless you speak the language. Things can go wrong and that's all I'm saying.

Oh yeah and check out some of the breaks.
Thailand has some pretty sweet (and VERY warm) surf.
