heard about this. such a shame because i'm almost done at the u and it is such a sick place to skate or longboard. i totally agree that there are times when recreational riders are a bit of a nuisance during crowded hours, but there are so many times where the campus is empty, it would be a shame to discourage recreation. why not a ban on recreational riders during peak class hours (9-5) but leave the slower hours open? people are going to skate there either way, so why not try to control it rather than outright ban it?

and for the kids that run into people and otherwise are disrespectful or dangerous towards faculty, give them a way bigger fine so that they can weed out the pricks.

Nothing wrong with the ban as long as it isn't affecting those who use longboards and akateboards for transpprt

That sucks. It sort of makes sense if it is being a problem with individuals who are not students and if there is serious damage and what not, but it doesn't seem like the case at all.

As a fellow longboarder, be respectful of everyone else, don't break shit, and be polite. If you break shit, fix it.
