The odds of human DNA encoding for that specific message are 3.2 billion in 256^127, (assuming each character is encoded by 4 base pairs or one byte). i.e: you have a better chance of winning the lottery 37 consecutive times than having that sequence appear randomly in your DNA.

If they actually found this, I would consider it all but proof that a god does exist.

Our DNA can contain any type of information we want it to. Each base pair is like a bit on a hard drive except with 4 different states instead of 2. Currently it encodes for proteins, but scientists have already made it so that it can store music and novels as well. As soon as we can find a simple, efficient way to read it, It will probably become the most used method for long term storage because it can hold so much information in such a small space.

Just read the thread title but I have been telling you lost atheists for years now to have some faith and finally you have the "proof" that you've so desired. You guys just didn't understand that faith requires NO PROOF. so then what you're saying is I can take a sequence of DNA and have it say any number of things depending on what 'coding' I use. in binary 0010 means 2, but only because that's the convention we used. it could just as easily have been 0100 that means 2. I can take that long sequence that in binary says "those people are full of shit" and have it say whatever the hell I want it to based on how I read it.
