So... My friend was a JC at Woodward at Copper last summer and he tried out digital media camp one week taking a break from skiing every day and he had a good time, but it's not quite everything he'd looked for.
Basically you set out and you get tips on filming and editing and end up with an edit at the end of the week to show to the camp. If you're a beginner at filming you could probably learn a lot. I take video class in school and have learned quite a bit, and it's similar at camp. However, at camp the video kids did mostly other activities and less actual shooting and video. They did the activities like digglers, go-karts, trips, skating, tie-dye, tramping etc. and it was a mainstay of what they did. These activities are all fun and I enjoyed doing them as a ski camper, but I don't know if I'd chose to do video instead of skiing....
The video kids did come up with some really cool stuff, and a snowboarding filmer who I'm now friends with has really gone places with his work since camp.
Here's his edit: (it also shows camp experience which was amazing.)

Anyways, I'm trying to JC at Woodward this summer, and even if not I'll be there weeks 2/3 so hit me up with any more questions or if you decide to go.
