awesome show. we gave our mom the complete series on DVD as a christmas present and i think its just awesome.
obviously, some episodes are a little overboard, but in general they never say that there is something supernatural going on. like you can always say, ok, only this witness saw it, what if she was mistaken? and its mainly stuff that you might perceive as possible but that you can also explain easily with other explanations.
a good example is with these "transparent" indians with the red glowing eyes (AD NOCTEM). they never find a body or anything, objectively, it was just some guys falling into these holes made by the spaniards. then they rush out of the motel, because obviously one of the indians is in there, they leave, the camera shifts under the bed and there is just this little glimpse of red dots. just so much that you think there was something, but also a lot less visible than when the camera represented "subjective" perspectives.
