So there is street in xgames for the snowboarders that are more involved in the "urban" side of things. Why do we not have this for skiers to give guys like Leigh Powys (who has said he would do it if it existed) or mike hornbeck, Lj strenio etc. when we have an event for the pow skiers in our community entering the xgames this year?
I've always wanted them to have a real street skiing too. There would be so many sick entries getting put out just like the Real Snow Skiing thing they did this year.
What would money have to do with it. And honestly they should put skiing in over snowboarding cuz just from talking to gapers you can tell even they find it more interesting cuz there's much more variation for rail tricks
I feel like I have seen some sort of urban skiing thing where they set up this course built out of wood with jumps and covered it in snow, but it wasnt like urban skiing on rails and such. More just air tricks
With usasa if they picked a kid(one ski one board) out of every series and we had to pay to get there but it was a free como for us and it was during x games. So skiers did compete on it!
Not really. Snowboarders have a ton of different ways to slide a rail compared to skiing. Skiing has swaps and easier spins on and off but less variation in sliding rails.
I whole heartedly disagree, if you read any of my other threads I am totally behind the style movement over spin to win Gus Kenworthy movement. more variation as in more obvious blunt, nose and tail presses as well as grabs on rails more use of style and more ways to make things unique i.e. ski slide, hippy killers, 50-50s etc.
