I heard they were fining real estate people in LA for using them commercially, I guess you need an FAA license, do you have one?

To a certain extent you need one. As long as your abiding by the FAA and rules of the city/state your in you won't have a problem.

how did that whole setup run you? and is flying a heli easier than flying an airplane? cause i fucking destroyed the rc plane i got when i was 14.

GoPro + Gimbal + Heli + bat charger +carrying case = $1500


It is way harder then flying a airplane. Airplanes are child's play compared to a heli. haha. sorry to hear about your plane. rip

wow thats pretty cheap compared to an xproheli, and the quality is pretty good

That's impressive. I've spent a little time playing with Errol Kerr's smaller heli filming setups, and those things are HARD to control. Like almost impossible hard.

i skied in a shoot where we used a heli with 3 gopros and a dslr mounted on it. havent really gotten to see the footy yet but it should be dope!

great set up! the phantom is a wicked good platform to use with the hero3. ive been thinking about adding on to my quiver. currently i have a dji f450 that i use mainly for aggressive flying. i also have an f550 that im just about finished building. the hexacopter will be for aerial photo/video only.
