Would tarps on grass work?

Instead of buying a shit load of turf, would tarps with water work for summer skiing? With a bungee of course

I want to say maybe. But I sort of doubt it. If you have a fuck ton of water and soap and the tarp is stretched out totally flat, that might kind of hopefully sorta work.

I've seen some videos and it kinda worked... seems like grass is almost better

been there done that. even with various types of carpet (besides outdoor green carpet)  dont work

tarps that are smooth work but not the blue type that are like weaved

Iv been told that if you use that orange plastic construction fence it works super well, lay down like 2 layers of it and spray it with water and supposedly you go fast as hell

Orange plastic construction fence is a ton like the product M-Snow. I would definitely give that a shot. It's cheap, and will likely not tear, like a tarp will.

the only thing that a tarp is useful for is a landing and i still think with a little water and dish soap, a strip of turf is a little more convenient.
