Do you trust those grills in public parks?

You know the ones that are on poles jammed into the ground and you bring your own charcoal.

I wanted to have a cookout at this park by Lake Michigan but my friends said "no those grills are probably rusty with old food on them". I say hell just burn it off, plus nasty grill is worth a lakeside cookout.

What's the call yo? Any experiences?

i would trust them but if you must, bring tin foil and put it over the grill and open holes where are the slots are.

So your friend is complaining that your getting free food pre-cooked into your grill? All that burnt meat adds flavor dude. Its not like its unsanitary, you have a fucking fire burning under it. Go grill some God dang burgers and if your friend complains slap him in the face with a frozen patty for refusing a free lakeside meal.

This. Place foil on, cut slits where the grate is, and fold the ends down to it doesn't blow away. Very easy fix

just bring a wire brush or crumple up some tin foil and brush that shit pretty well. rinse it with some water and repeat. should be pretty good after that. make sure to get one of those chimney charcoal starter things. lighter fluid on charcoal either doesn't work or makes your food taste awful.

NO, let me tell you why. you will never want to go near them again. when i was in 7th grade or whatever me and some friends were hanging at the local park and someone(not me) decided it would be hilariouse if he peed all over the grill. but that wasnt enough he also took a dump on the grill. that is why i would not recomned using public grills.

Just take a wire brush and go to town on that thing after burning the shit out of it. And if you have a spare metal grate from a grill or hell even an oven just take that and put it on the top. I think oven grates should work well if they are small enough to keep food from falling through
