either way it certainly does have to ability to allow access to parts of the brain and to gain a different perspective on things in the hands of an experienced knowledgeable user. Im not saying i would want to take acid before something like a math test in school, but when it comes to deep philosophical thinking it can be very useful.
and does giving acid to nurses with the intentions of making them feel schizophrenic actually make them feel schizophrenic and not just high on acid? How can you prove that the feeling of schizophrenia is the same as that of acid?
I think there are more misconceptions about acid than any other drug, even weed. Ever since the 60s it has been constantly demonized, often with little to no proper unbiased scientific studies behind it. Its the same as how the modern world likes to work when it comes to things like health, nutrition, and drugs. As soon as one idea is widely accepted it becomes very hard to challenge that idea. Just look at the "health recommendations" you'll commonly find in the US. Eat more whole grains, reduce saturated fat, "soy is good for you", "don't eat egg yolks, those have cholesterol"... Certainly not healthy choices by any means.
