im not going to type out a full explanation,but ill simply say that acid was at one point provided to university students to enhance mental capabilities before it was made illegal

Ahahaha thats kind of misleading. Maybe thats what Leary thought he was doing, but he got fired from Harvard and wound up in jail. It was also given to psychology students and nurses to make them experience a state of schizophrenia, so they could more easily empathize with their patients.
