I have only heard great things sbout them. But you are going to need to give some more informatin about yourself, see the stickied thread on how to ask for ski advice.
Look in my threads, I just made one about a big mountain ski and a lot of people praised the bibby.
I bought some 190s and haven't skied much on them yet but so far they seem great. Fast, stable but still nimble and have a low swing weight.
Bibby's are DA SHIT! Stiff, damp yet lively, smear like none other, and can still lay a huge GS turn down corduroy. I'm 5'10/140 and have the 184, I could ski the 190 but whistler has a lot of trees and mine aren't a straight pow ski. At your height I'd lean to the 190 but where do you ski? Either way 40% off is a no brainier for any of their skis!
They're changing the bibbys for next year to make it more pow oriented. The 190 is being sized up to a 192 and their changing the waist width to 120 and removing some camber. Probably more subtle changes too but I think I'll be picking one up next year
It's only the dimensions that are changing, turn radius per size and flex/profile are the same. No reason to change anything about how it skis, it's the shit, but I can definitely see why they'd make it a few mm wider, the gov is basically replacing what the bibby pro use to be.
False, the Gov completely different than what the Bibby Pro used to be. The Gov has more of a pintail, is WAY stiffer, and has a directional camber pattern/flex. It is a charging ski, not a playful pow ski.
