First off a year or two ago I noticed that one of the four 'hooks" that holds the heel piece to the slide was just gone. Marker fixed that actually cause it was under a year since I bought it.
So I live in New Orleans now, don't ski much obviously but I'm gonna have some good opportunities next season. I took the bindings off the other day cause they are predrilled from factory with inserts so its no big deal to take off and on.
When I did this, I noticed that the rear slide (screws to the ski, heel piece holds it), was cracked almost in half. It's a wonder how my bindings never came apart.
So what should I do? Since they are predrilled I can't really get other bindings cause it will probably interfere with the metal inserts. I sure as sh*t dont want the same ones again, plastic POS's. I love these skis and they are in good shape. Anyone think I could get just that part maybe? I'm sure marker won't warranty it. It was almost impossible for them to round up a heel piece for me last time even though they were still making the part (????).
Ideas?
