So last week my brother and I headed to Bozeman, MT to compete in the Simms Shoot Out. The competition faces four production teams against each other. Sunday night we got to meet out guide and start laying the groundwork for the film. Filming was allowed on Monday and Tuesday only and then the film had to be edited by 6pm Wednesday.
Thursday night the films played in downtown Bozeman at the Ellen and the crowd got to vote for the winner. We ended up on top and went home with $2,000. It was an awesome event and I'd encourage any of you to enter a similar filmmaking competition in what ever field your interested in. It definitely made us think about how we film in a different light. Anyways hopefully you'll like it and if you fly fish it should get you stoked for summer.
