I find it amazing to see what a platform NS is within the ski industry. A gateway to bigger opportunities within the ski channels. NS without a doubt is the original freeskiing social network website.

Congratulations Schmuck I'm eager to see what you'll do with the magazine.

This is exactly what we strive to be. There is so much potential in writers, photographers, videographers and athletes alike in this community it's nuts! Being that skiing is a sport where success is as much about networking and exposure as it is competition result, what better place to make your name where everyone gets equal opportunity at visibility. The number of people who have made a life thanks to humble beginnings and connections/exposure is pretty damn awesome!

We wish Jeff the best in his new role! Thanks for the great years buddy!

To be honest I'm actually surprised more people don't properly get this. NS is and always has been a social network - way more than it is a media company. That is also a big reason why we've been morphing into more of a content community over the years. Its the perfect place to get started out, and then to launch your career into the traditional media space if that is where you want to go.

Hell, the best part in all of this is we're 100% supportive of sharing external news. So Schmuck will write for SBC in the long-format we've always wanted, and he'll know exactly how to share the stuff you guys care about on here. He knows how these systems work, as he built them alongside us.

In the end, you basically will actually get more Schmuck news on Newschoolers after he leaves, as he won't be tangled up in so much community management. He'll write, he'll share, you'll upvote, and you'll sneak over to SBC to read the content.

Its a mega win for basically everyone.
