Well, seeing as this is your first post, you're probably a kid too but I don't see anything wrong with it. If they are good, their age shows they actually care about skiing if they've been doing it for a while or it shows they are really good for a kid.

i feel the same way; it seems sort of cocky for some reason. it doesnt bug me too much because obviously they are young and see the world differently from me, but i find it way more impressive if i watch the edit, think its good, and then find out otherwise how old they are.

agreed. I think the cutoff should be like 12. if a 12 year old is throwing down, im impressed. as soon as they hit 13, just another punk teenager.

Exactly, but there are some exceptions like Aspen Spora who can show his age until he's in his 20's and I'll still be impressed.

What kids don't understand is that you being 14 when you pull off your first dub isn't as sick as you want it to be!

There's a natural reason! First off you grow up with sick as parks, the best jumps that have been made! Friends with to expencive cameras, legit ski equipment with rocker, pop and shit!! Off course you gonna be good quick!

Also, there are others who have done it before you, you young guns know whats possible, you already seen 500 shots of the tricks you do! You can go to a fucking camp and get schooled!

No need to claim age.. if someboudy showed Candide a dub crok 1080 like 10 years ago, he would have pulled one off to!

When i started skiing, and I'm 23, not even that old, you where king off the hill if you pulled off a 900, and I'm talking 9's that if they where done with the same style today people would hate on your ugly as grab, and lack of afterbang landing. Fuck, if Timmy Wallnuts did one, he would be crying afterwards..

Also skiing is big, you start earlier, most off you.. if you're gonna claim anything logic would be to claim how long you have skied, but unless you pull a nosebutter quad within your first season there's no need for that either.

age claim, what is it? It could as well been an excuse for you not having balls enough for going going bigger!

Let the skiing talk, if you're good, you're good if you suck and don't like hate, don't post an edit on NS...

the only reason kids (12 year olds and younger) like me put our age in a ski edit, is because usually, at least in my case, is that we put it out there so people can see it. It's usually our season edit, and we show that to companies. They want to know how old we are. and seriously, what the big deal with stating our age?! What makes you so mad about it? It's a simple statement in an edit, we want people to see it, and critique us. We don't care if you're bitching about a kid that's 12 and probably better than you. No one is gonna give you props for hating on kids like me showing our edit to the internet, companies want us to put our edits up. So OP shut your mouth about a kid saying his age.

hah I probably do overreact, it just makes me mad when people hate on kids for trying to make a name for themselves. No one hates on Aspen spora when he posts edits, so why do people hate on other kids telling their age?

With people like me is that I'm sad that these kids are going out with the intentions of getting sponsored and things like that. I think the downfall of skiing is people doing what pleases others before doing what pleases themselves. I ski in my gorilla suit all the time, will that get me sponsored? No, but I'm fine with that because its fun for me. I don't know if any of that made sense...

I don't really mind, I think that it shows someone is proud of the progress they have made at their current age. Who cares? Let kids do what they want.

Who cares. Honestly, who cares? I hate how people call 13 year old kids "cocky" when all they did was say how old they are. Personally I don't see that as enough proof to say that kid is a punk or cocky. So what if he puts his age in his edit? It's his edit let him do whatever he wants. If he thinks it'll make it better to put his age in let him do it... Everyone is so critical these days. If you write one thing the wrong way you automatically become hated for not being the same way as everyone else.

ya but sometimes those kids that are good when there young go through wierd growthsperts in there teens and dont adjust to that and stop killin it, i've seen it happen to a few kids i know that were throwin dubs when they were 11 and 12 then when they turned like 14 hit puberty and started to suck
