From POW to CRUD to GROOMERS to RAILS, tell me NS what is your everything ski? Mine is the K2 recoil, they could be a bit wider underfoot but they charge all over the mountain.
186 Rossi S3's. They are trashed from rails, but I'll get another year out of them. They slay all mountain. They do give out if you charge hard though down a groomer, centering those bad boys doesn't help haha. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.
whatever the fuck i got. currently some ninthward MXP (78 underfoot) currently my fave ski ever and some older armada pipe cleaner which are a very close second behind the nines. but neither really kill it on pow, both slay the fuck out of rails, a little soft for jumps but i like a soft ski. ninthwards rip the groomers like none other, armadas are meh for the groomers
Atomic blog, yep, I dont really do much in the park but dang, I love these skis so much! Rode them nearly everyday this season regardless of conditions.
The first year of K2 Domains. So much fun all over the mountain. Not to many pow days where I ski but when there were the 90 underfoot and jib rocker were pretty fun. I just picked up some Line Blends for next season and I'm HYPED to use those!
I skied chest deep pow on a pair of 2006 k2 public enemies last year because I wrote off my Prophet 100s in 10/11. Skis don't NEED to be fat to ski pow.
praxis piste jibs...really do very well at anything you can throw at them. Never skied an early rise park so with such good edge hold and stability at high speeds. Theyve got a 25m turning radius which is quite long compared to similar skis, so they can truly hold gs carve riding the sidecut the whole way. Super chargy and destroy crud, but still able to make small turns just fine especially if you slarve them. The lack of sidecut also makes them surprisingly good in pow for there size(99 underfoot)
Nordica Patron! Best ski that I've ever tried, and I've tried quite a few. Perfect flex and rocker, performs amazing in deep snow, even though it's only 113 under foot. I use Helldorados or El Capos if I'm skiing big mountain and really charging (competitions basically), but other than that, there is no need for another ski.
Agreed 185 RMU apostle kills it soo hard in pretty much everything, best skis ever made they are pretty soft but still really poppy, light, and the construction seems bomber so far. Plus the RMU guys are super chill, there was a problem with shipping so they sent me an extra huge box of swag and a hand written letter apologizing.
My new everything ski is the Rossignol Slat. Just picked them up in the end of March. Unfortunately I didn't get to mount them yet but they'll be fresh for next year. This ski is literally my dream ski. A tiny bit shorter than I'd hope for but it should be really nice either way.
how has no one said the rossi scratch? such a timeless do anything ski. they obviously dont absolutely slay the pow but you can manage. any sort of packed pow technical skiing they destroy too. Im still extremely bitter about my edges tearing out after 25 days but they were great while they lasted
