With all these drug threads i have been seeing lately, i thought i should contribute. Peyote has been something that has interested me for some time, but this is in no way a thread to claim I'm doing peyote. It just seems like a really cool and unique thing, and i'm also really interested in Native American culture, so I would like to know more about this. So i want some feedback from ns, who of you have tried it and what was it like? ik it's sort of a repost but i wanted to bring it back up
My meso-american studies professor said she used to chop it up and mix it with milk shakes when she took it. I'd imagine it would be pretty hard to find unless you're in the southwest.
Peyote and San Pedro cacti are really interesting, luckily owning mescaline containing cacti is legal in Canada so I'm looking to start growing/cultivating one.
I've heard many people compare it to LSD, definitely something I'd be excited to try. You can buy San Pedro on amazon if you're desperate to try mescaline, it's just really difficult to drink down due to the sheer amount of material in it.
That is such a seriously stupid statement. There are millions of different aspects of Native American culture...their music, their art, their religions, their garb, their hunting methods, farming methods, knapping...the list goes on and on and on. Why would you choose the drug that a few of them used occasionally? Admit it, you just want to get high. Native Americans have absolutely nothing to do with it.
i knew i was going to get hate for that one, and i should have specified. i'm more interested in their religion, and i know there are many different cultures and tribes, i'm focusing more on the southwestern U.S. and mexico like the navajo and the huichol. peyote is a big part of many of the tribes' religions, i just want to know more, not just "get high"
from what i've been told by a couple parents is that most drugs are rather harmless to try a couple times, but they absolutely agree in saying to never smoke peyote
