Powder skiing with a backpack

any one do this? see it a lot but i dont really get it. If so what do you guys keep in your bags?

I usually have

Shovel(for jump building primarily)
Camera gear(for filming when we build jumps)
Lunch
Keys
Wallet
Phone

And occasionally skins

i pretty much always ski with a backpack inbounds (bridger bowl). probe, shovel, water are always in there.

I ski with a pack that has full avy equipment (no airbag or avalung though), gopro and mini pole mount, camel back blatter, extra lens, extra gloves

I think backpacks are essential for powder skiing...shovel, avalanche probe, water, batteries, camera (of u film) some food (why not) often skins and maybe put an extra layer in there. Some people say its uncomfortable to ski with a backpack but being used to it, it feels really weird not skiing with one in powder.

I hate skiing with a pack, so if I'm inbounds I don't. Backcountry I'll have the usual avvy gear plus water and a snack, standard.

I ski with my Float 22 filled with avy gear, skins, and food almost everyday.
