Old park was miles ahead of this, sure there is more street but the space could have been utilized much better (more tramps, more foam, more transitions)

Seems like it's the kind of place that could just have built something like this separately. Is there really a big space crisis?

Idk what the situation is or what the park looked like before. Maybe people weren't using it.

Although they are calling it a "rebuild" this could just be an addition? if you look at the far right side of the street course they have the exact same ramp and foam pit and tramp setup as they do in normal BOB. maybe they just didn't include the rest of the BOB they already have and are adding on?

If I was to dish out thousands of dollars to go to a skate/ski camp across the country- the park better be fucking incredible. I don't see how you can hate on kids for feeling that way.

Well that'd make sense except that it's a fucking SKI CAMP. If you want to spend thousands of dollars to ride an incredible indoor skate park, go to a SKATE CAMP. You kids are so fucking spoiled and yet you still have to find shit to complain about.

Im fairly certain they do offer skate camps.. and even if you were there for a ski camp you arn't on the mountain every hour of the week you're there.. so having a sick indoor park would be pretty sweet imo.

I dont get why people like you even sign into NS every day if all you do is complain about "you kids" and post negative shit.

I'd think you'd have to be somewhat loaded to send your kid to ski camp for a few weeks, but that's just me. But then again, if you can just camp in govy for free I heard.

the old park was kinda imposing to learn new tricks when you aren't really good
this one looks very straight forward to a pro but for people trying to learn tricks I think it makes it easier

APRIL 26, 2013 - WINDELLS CAMP, OREGON

New indoor skate facility coming Summer 2013 Windells Camp begins complete renovation on the 12,000 sq ft indoor skate facility

Changes are coming for Windells! Renovation to everyone’s favorite indoor skate park is underway. BOB, short for the “building out back,” will have a new look coming Summer 2013.

Windells brought in the seasoned professionals for the rebuild. Scott Everly, builder for X Games and Dew Tour, and Lifeblood pro Steven Reeves are part of the team working on BOB during the weeks leading up to June.

Campers and pros can expect big changes for the indoor facility. BOB has been gradually growing and evolving since it was established in 2004. The street inspired remake will bring more variety to Windells’ campus, already known for its world class skateboard facilities, including stair sets, handrails, and ledges. The Olympic style trampolines and foam pit, a campus highlight, will be repositioned to allow more space for aerial training.

All renovations will be complete by the time Windells opens its doors for Summer 2013. Windells Camp is now taking registrations for Summer Skateboard, Snowboard, Freeski, and BMX Camp in June, July and August.

People complain about Windells being so expensive. Its like 1,000-2,500. Look at the numbers, think of all the stuff you get. I personally didn't wanna go back to Windells since I'll be 17 and wanna get some responsibility. So i decided to go out by myself with some friends. I'm currently doing the numbers, and I'm close if anything over Windells price including, room&board, food, car, gas, skiing. eight days traveling by yourself and with friends alone a hotel room, motel room, condo whatever is expensive enough. Plus with Windells I'm meeting new people, skiing with pros, getting a little help, free shit/gear, fun events.

Personally you are all confused. Their renovation is to help us. Sure i dont skate or anything, i just love the Tramps but it's all for the money to bring in a profit, everything they do is to make money back, plus they need to pay all their staff, food, electric, transportation.

Still not worth for me or my parents pulling a dime out my pocket for a weeks camp. Snuck into CoC for 2 days 2 years ago for session C. Was pretty disappointing, lots of spoiled, snobby brats that weren't that great at skiing either, for the $2000 it costs to attend and use the park, airbag etc. to its full potential.

There are way better ways to spend two grand. Windells, CoC, Woodward etc. not worth it IN MY OPINION.

Yeah I went to session 4 in 2011 at windells and was not impressed really. They do a damn good job of overhyping that place, thought. I had way more fun skiing the T-Line park on the way down to Palmer lift or whatever to get back to the windells lane than the lane itself. IMO it's not that worth it. There are better and cheaper ways to ski in the summer
