I'd have to say, I think that Side by Side by Field Productions, Refresh by L1P, EDIAS, and In Deep by MSP all came out in the same year. All of these movies I think could actually be the best ski movies of all time. I'd like to especially mention In Deep, because no one has mentioned it yet. This movie was like my introduction to Sean Pettit. His rodeo 7 that he almost landed was legendary. Also, Abma's seg always gives me chills. Also, Side by Side was only mentioned once in this thread, and I really think that movie is pretty dominant. The jump seg w/ Tom stomping the piss out of the sw dub 14 and Jon pretty much in his last freeski movie segment ever goes down as maybe the best park shoot of all time except for of course EDIAS. Also, Alex Aurdal and Even Sigstad's respective urban segs really capped this film in my book as one of the best.
I don't know if it is the best movie ever of if the first ski movie that i saw and it opened my eyes to freeskiing. Either way, this it my favorite too
couldnt agree more. The thing with MSP is they are really awesome, but as soon as they start talking about how sick they are, it kind of ruins it. Superheroes was the only MSP movie Ive ever seen that I just didn't like. When I saw the Premiere in telluride, i walked out of the theatre with this awful feeling, and as soon as I got home I watched yearbook, claim, and the way i see it.
I love how on these threads people just list the oldest movie they know to sound like they've been skiing for a while. That being said, RealTime, and Turbo would take the cake for me
