Any love for Nordica boots?

I can get a sweet deal on the Nordica Beast boot. Should I go for it? Nordica markets the boot towards all mountain riders, though, and I ride about 70% park.
I used to be a racer, so I'm used to stiff boots. As far as I know, the Beast lies between hard race boots and flexy soft boots?
Thanks!

they are good if they fit you right. I have some beasts and some Wave8s.

the flex is pretty progressive, and there is a shock absorbing boot plate under the liner...should work really well for park. the liners pack out wicked hard. the two-plastic shell does a good job of distributing power where you need it while letting the boot flex darn well. it's got a built power strap...kind of a heavy boot, what with all the bells and whistles...

Yeah, I noticed they're kind of heavy. I'm riding K2 PEs, which are a bit on the heavy side as well. My bindings are light, though.
You think I should get some lighter boots instead?

I ski the Nordica Beast. I won't ever buy a Nordica product again. I'm going to cover the Nordica logos. Screw Nordica.
Why?
Not because the boot is a bad boot. I like the boot.
Here is why:
I was interested in another boot and wrote them to ask how much it weighed.
Their first response was: Go ask a shop.
Nobody here sells that boot. I asked again and mentioned that I do work for a shop and we knew nothing about the boot.
The next response was: 'We are trying to avoid handing out information to people looking to
buy used second-hand product off the internet or other forums. If you have specific technical questions and you are a shop please either contact your area rep or call us direct'
Clearly Nordica is a company that only stands behind its products while they are on a store shelf. They are truly stupid if they don't realize the used market generates more sales for them and that their terrible customer service attitude drives away customers.
It shouldn't matter who I am, nor where I plan to buy. But Nordica's attitude was:
1. Assumed that I was going to buy 2nd hand without asking.
2. 'We aren't telling you how much the boot weighs. Go find a shop so they can ask us and then tell you. Maybe you'll buy from that shop then!'
3. 'Call a rep so we can verify that you are authorized to know secret information like boot weights.'

It is what I would do if it were me. It's not me and neither are you.

i agree with the guy that said that the boots pack out quite a bit. if you have a wider foot, a high instep, or some kankles then they'd probably work pretty well for you.
