I gave it to Hudson Knoll. That might not have been the most technical, but the injury factor was HUGE. I don't think the video did that gap justice, in the pictures I saw of it he was a speck of dust compared to the gap size.

Glad to hear it.

It's arguably one of the most skillful out of the lot, sure the 180 Is cool(nobodies more of a fan of 180s than me), but it's not hugely impressive, + the uwa distortion is annoying and confuses perspective.

First trick will have something to do with it too.

I don't want to be that guy but how is the flair out of a snow kicker in for best trick?

Other than coming off of the slide it was like hitting a ghetto jump at your local golf course and hucking a flip.


Maybe it's just me but it seems like there was probably much gnarlier stuff that could have been shown.

I'd say around 80% of those best tricks were either tricks done half a decade ago or they were really fucking stupid.

Apparently doing multiple front swaps on park rails, a backflip out of anything or hucking yourself off a jump with no chance of riding away constitutes as contenders for best trick... hahaha

seriously, i've done that trick before (granted on a smaller flat down box). with that said, something that i have done (because I suck) should never win best trick for superunknown. very disappointing to say the least.

I'm done arguing with about a trick vs trick scenario that wasn't even involved in the competition. If you think that a 3 on 1 out of a box is truly the best trick in that video then so be it.

I don't know if the 3 on to 180 off deserved best trick, but it was for sure really gnar. I highly doubt the ones in this thread who are saying "a trick I could do won" could do that trick on that feature.

debateable. i don't think it was that gnar at all, speaking comparatively to other entries. while it may be cool, still not that gnar. what's gnar is jumping off of a 40 foot drop to basically flat while doing a ginormous 180. name 1 other person who would step to that drop.

Do we definitely know it was 40 feet? wide angle could have made it look a lot bigger, and it would have been even more gnar if he didn't do the 180, just straight aired, land anything but perfect and you're fucked.

It's around a 30 foot drop. That spot is in a bunch of edits iv'e seen and most people just tranny the individual walls and those are pretty big, gaping down 2 is retarded.
