thinking about piercing my ear but dont think im gona want it in when im down with uni (like 5 years away) so if i got it pierced and then took it out and stopped wearing earrings when i wanted it to close will it heal up again (obviously not overnight)
I pierced my ears when I was like 9, but decided to let them heal maybe 4 years ago because I just dont wear or like wearing earrings anymore (also allergic as shit to practically anything besides gold hehe inb4 high maintaince). You can still tell that there have been holes there if you look closely, but all in all I think they have healed up really well.
It takes about 2 months for the hole to be healed completely and for you to be able to take out ur piercing for a while without losing the hole in your ear.
You can also get a plastic tube thing. You can ask the piercer .
I wouldn't really care if its 5 years away, you have plenty of time.
Pierce it yourself and save money. Paying to have it done is a rip off. Use some ice to numb it and then a nail gun to do the deed. It'll hurt a little but it's over in a second.
