Awesome books that you read as a kid?

I wish I did more reading these days, I got back into it a little but not enough. There were def some shitty books that you read or were forced to read in school but what about the good ones.


For me Hatchet, The Giver, The Hobbit.

Those are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head.

the Bartimeus trilogy. so good. also, not so much as a little kid, but around 14, the Power of One became my all time favorite book.

I've got that whole series. Haven't read it in a long ass time. I still think about some of them once in a while. Started out as bed time stories and eventually I finished the series but def solid stuff.

I wanted to be a boss detective.

YES! I especially enjoyed the ones where you got to dictate how the story goes... "if you choose to walk into the dark abandoned warehouse turn to page 35"
