Replying to Bend, OR

Made this in regionals as well - just trying to get some info
Thinking about moving to bend at the end of summer 2014, following graduation in CO.  What is bend like?  Cool place?  I like that its close to bachelor, 3.5 hrs to the ocean, lots of national forest, etc.  Can anyone give me some info?  Anything is appreciated, just trying to paint a picture in my head of what its like.
