Local shop comes up big

So I went into my local shop last week to bring in my 2 year old K2 Domains in hopes that I could get them warrantied cause the cores rotted out (long shot I know but did hurt to try).

Anyways, I just heard back a little while ago that I'm gonna be getting some brand new Domains (either this years that they have in stock or next years!!!) after my shop pulled a few strings with K2! I'm super stoked on this.

What's the best thing that has happened to you guys in terms of getting hooked up like that whether its with a shop or company directly?

CRIKEY MATE! That's pretty good on your shop, and even gooder for you!

I guess the coolest thing my shop has done was do a full break replacement for free. Not very interesting to some, but those were the 4 pair (2) of breaks I'd shattered.

Anyways the coolest thing my shop has only done was take 150 off of a brand new pair of Nordica ace of spades that were already on discount (looked it up and the final cost was also 150 dollars cheaper than on evo.com). I guess it's because I buy all of my equipment from them.

Coolest thing a local shop did for me is refusing to change a pair of ski that they had sent me for free ! Yay.

shop owner is probably close with the k2 rep for that area. its probably not joe herzog too cuz that guy is an ass hole and definitely wouldnt of pulled strings like that. but most companies are doing a lot of stuff like that right now because they're trying to really build some brand loyalty. if you havent noticed, this industry is kinda goin down the shitter

i was skiing echo mt before it closed last season and the entire back half of my binding snapped off. the shop couldn't fix it, and i had no money to rent. one of the techs let me rent some skis for free that day.

Some of the guys at Echo were super good dudes, wish that place had stayed open, perfect way to spend a Friday evening was at Echo.

To be honest all I can remember about my local shop is that they charge highway robbery, like 100+ what Backcountry.com does.

I ski beavercreek and Vail and the Kind ski/bike shop in edwards is the best, ever since having problems with my bindings on this years halos they have been nothing but the coolest dudes, from free breaks, to free mounts, these guys are like my second family. Funny thing is they only ever see me with a shitface on cuz my ski shit is always breaking
