Are you aware in how much just a week is going to cost you?
You have the cost of the camp (hotel, food, lift pass, off hill activities), cost of flight (if you choose to fly there), transfers (both ways) and then any extras you get.
I looked at going last year, although it's at a different place this year; and I worked it out to be around £1000 for everything. In my opinion it's not worth paying that amount for only a few (up until just after lunch) hours skiing, in the summer. I'd rather pay that amount (I already have) for spending a week in the Alps during the winter without all the bullshit "coaching", having fun with friends doing whatever you wanted on hill.
I'll be surprised if Woodsy is even there. He will most likely be on Whistler's glacier doing CoC/Momentum or MHSSC/Windells.
Now I do agree it's great for the kids during the school holidays that don't get a chance to get skiing in during the Xmas/February holidays as the parents can sun themselves on a ski resort while their kids are doing what they enjoy with the skiing with people (Birch? Really?) who know what they are talking about. But it isn't for me.
Huge waste of money in my opinion, went 2 years in a row becuase my parents didn't want me going without aupervision when I was 15, would have happily gone for 2 weeks to saas and not done the camp for the same price as 1 week ( if not less). The only real benefit in my opinion is that you are more likely to ski with people who are better than you, which pushes you a little bit, but other than that meh to expensive.
Interested to see what the new location is like though, shame I've got a ballet summer planned out with a huge absence of skiing...
