The al dente do have thinner edges and have only nose rocker, tbey are very soft and playfull, the halo 2s are soft as well but they do have a more park orriented shape, both are great skis though
i like a fatter ski, but i dont want my edges to be gone as quickly as my nordicas i have now. im prefering the eldente.. just not 100% cuz i do jump to
he has been skiing the 188 for jumping for referance a pretty big ski...
and OP your comparing apples to oranges both skis are completely different. if you can handle a noodle than the al dente might work for you, if you need something that will support you a bit then go for the halo 2. both ski very differently from eachother as well..
As mentioned above me he is using the 188, and he is super short. When I met him (and fangirled because I will never see him again) he seemed to be about 5'5"ish.
According to armadas New Zealand website the al dente and the halo 2 have the same edges. The arv ti has the thinner edges. The al dente also according to the new zealand website has nose and tail rocker.
El dente has nose only rocker and halo has tip and tail rocker. The el dente also has a 2.2 edge where halo 2 is 2.5. The arv ti is different edge than both because the "ti" stands for titanium.
I had the same problem as the OP and ended up going with the halo 2 because I am only going to have one pair of skis. I ski 80% park but if there s fresh snow I would like to be able to do that and still have no problem.
The ti has nothing to do with the edges. It has a different (stiffer) layup (possibly titanium sheet on it idk), but the edges aren't made out of titanium
