Hey I am from Virginia, and I want to go to the snowflex camp in Lynchburg this summer with some friends. I have never even been to the center, but I am so excited. So my question is, is there anyone who has ever been to the camp or just to the center, and if so how was it?
its a great camp to go. everything was good when i went, but it was so hot the whole time. all the coahes are awesome, and they get so stoked on anything.
just sliding boxes and rails, i had never realy skied park before, but there were kids who couldnt even 3 who could do backflips and such by the end of the week. ( i know backflips arent a big deal.) there is a lot of progression there.
I went last year for the 2nd week, I'm trying to coach and go both sessions this year too. Some general info and such...
skiing- dope as fuck, tons of progression and an awesome trampoline to use whenever you want. Its hot as fuck tho. I was 17 last year when I went and theres pretty much a variety of ages, mainly around 15-18 I would say. Your organized by skill so theres a beginner, intermediate, and advanced group. You can pretty much ski with whoever you want tho
food- not bad, you get free food from the liberty university cafeteria with all of the volleyball camp chicks trying to get the D. Solid 7/10 dining experience. You can get chik fil a, cookout, BWW if you have a car or longboard
dorms- you sleep in the liberty university dorms, they're alright. They have a fridge, bunk beds, common room, WIFI, no TV though. but who cares because your never really in them. Its frowned upon to smoke weed in the dorms
other activities- no one would really ski in the heat of the day cause it was so damn hot, ski sessions were from like 9am-11 and then 5-11pm or whenever u wanted to go back to your dorms. The indoor pool has a dope diving board for doubles, hot tubs, basketball, indoor soccer, etc. Theres a giant dodgeball game on one of the last days too. Paintball is real fun, you don't have to pay anything
Our edit from 2nd week of camp, we only filmed for maybe 2 days tho
This was from right after they put the tramp in so the fence isn't there yet but gives you a good idea of how legit of a tramp it is.
All in all, it was one of the best weeks of my summer, and I would highly recommend it to any NSer. Hope to see you there man
I threaded your post on Liberty if that offer is still on the table! Are you gonna be hitting it at all this Summer? It's gonna be a 5 hour drive from Philly so I plan on driving down after work on Friday and sessioning all day on Saturdays and maybe a little on Sunday before driving back.
