Doctor Slashes Lift Seats

Just saw this article from my home mountain. It looks like a retired doctor has been taking a knife to the seats on the lifts at Schweitzer and they are trying to ban him from the mountain and get him to pay $70,000 in damages. Pretty funny if you ask me.

The comment below the article says... That the rumours say... That he was unhappy with the resort not offering free lift tickets for owning property there. Sounds like a Grade A douchebag doctor to me; with a huge case of 'entitlement'. Seems like its terminal with him.

HAHAHA a year later and they finally figure out who it is. All those signs posted last year were hilarious. "Stop the chairlift slasher!!!"

Except, it's not hilarious because that shit was real childish. On brand new chairlifts, a few weeks after they're broken in.. half of them are all cut up. What a dumbass. Go schweitzer

It says he slashed 62 seat cushions. If they were replacing all of them, that would but them a little over $1100 a piece. Seems a little steep for some seat cushions but, I have scene weirder shit sell for more.

Guy is a douche. What the fuck was he thinking and how did it take two seasons to catch that moron?

So glad that they caught him and I'm glad that he's now the subject of a civil lawsuit by Schweitzer. The resort deserves all the compensation that it can get. 62 chairs were slashed on 5 of their 7 chairlifts. (That's roughly ten percent of all of the chairs that are on Schweitzer lifts.)

Hopefully they can get him banned from Schweitzer property (aside from the lodging units that he owns in the Village) in addition to heavy punitive and compensative damages. Maybe they could get enough out of him to help fund the long-awaited Chair 6 replacement. Yeah, unlikely, but hey, it would be nice.

Part of me wants to point out that 6 chair is one of the 10 best lifts in the entire country and they should never replace it because the crowds will follow. Another part wants to say Schweitzer sucks don't go there.
