As a few of you may know, I have shifted away from action sports to focus more on concerts and live events video coverage over the past few years. With this transition, I have made the decision to re-position the brand from Dayzed Productions to Official Recap. As a result, all media and social outlets have now been either modified or entirely recreated from scratch.
For those of you interested in following some video operations and behind the scenes content, I am ramping up activity on the Official Recap Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts (as well as Vimeo over the next few weeks).
In the fall, I began shooting a series for GrooveBoston called "Rage Rinse Repeat," which dives into what makes GB's events unique and successful. GrooveBoston is a special events/production services company that tours colleges and universities putting on medium to large-scale EDM events within 24 hour periods (they handle all of the staging, sound, lighting, special effects, and DJing to create the immersive experience). We used the fall as somewhat of a pilot to test out the series concept with three separate episodes.
Last week marked the kickoff to the spring leg of GrooveBoston's "Visceral" tour and the correlating continuation of "Rage Rinse Repeat." Editing for Episode 4 is underway and I am heading down to Wheaton College and Curry College this weekend to shoot for Episode 5.
While currently finishing up my last semester of school in VT, I will now be bouncing around New England shooting at least two events every weekend for the next three weeks straight. With all of this travel, shooting, and editing between classes during the week, my goal is to try to capture as much BTS content (mostly through stills and mobile uploads) to show what this process really is like.
