First Ski Gear

After my last two ski seasons, I got really into the sport. I've always rented gear and never really had one, except the ski clothes. This season I went to North Carolina and Aspen and started to ski the park. I rented the Volkl Ledge and it was my first twin-tip ski.

Now straight to the point. I need help with my first ski gear. I want a all mountain twin-tip ski that will last for at least 2 season (I ski 7-10 days per season) but that is a good ski to learn tricks in the park.

My info:

Weight- 60kg/130 pounds
Height- 171cm/5'8"
Age- 16
Ski Level- 2/3 I can sky pretty much anything except double black slopes
What I can do in the park- I can get on boxes and some grinds and land some 180 on side hits

Just one more thing, where can I buy my gear?
I live in Florida so there's almost no options here, only online shops

tbh don't worry much about skis, put more focus on boots. but since you live in FL...that's kinda hard to find some good boot shop/ppl...

No offense but I'll call you on it before you get bindings set. If you can't ski double blacks (especially east coast ones) there is no way you are possibly a 3 skier. I'd say 2. You don't need the retention on your bindings for a level 3 skier

volkl ledge, k2 sight, armada el rey. Any of those are going to suit you very well. Volkls are symmetrical so they ride forwards and backwards easily. K2 sight is slightly directional so it rides better forwards than the volkls. Armada el rey is also directional, but it has a cap construction. Usually with capped skis, they don't hold an edge as well. However the el rey has a better/faster base than the other two options. Regardless these are all fantastic skis, pick whatever one appeals to you the most.

Thanks for all the info, any opinions about the k2 press? Should I buy skis online or in a store?

K2 press is a soft jib ski. It's a cap construction which means a lighter weight, but less edge hold. It depends on your priority, do you want less weight or better carving. The skis also have no camber which means they press and butter really well for jibs but again won't carve as well. Personally I'd go with the k2 sight, so see both very strong skiers and beginners on them, you have a lot of room to progress on these and they're very durable so you won't have to work about that.
