coming from somebody who has only owned german cars, 4 of them. you sound like a dumbass. i get the kind of lack of appeal of japanese cars. but if i were to own any japanese car, it would definitely be an NSX, or a miata if i wanted something cheap.. 276 hp is plenty in a car weighing 2800lbs. its a mid engine affordable, useable super car, not a drag car. if the first thing you look for in a car like this is HP your obviously looking at it for the wrong reasons, and I guarantee you wouldnt be able to take full advantage of even the stock 276 hp on anything apart from a straight piece of road.
they're known to be one of the very best balanced and best handling cars ever, and thats where the focus is, and i want to emphasize balance, not just handling balance, but its balance of handling ability and all out grip, braking, responsiveness, stiffness/softness, and engine power/response that makes it so great, having all of those things work well together and not too much or too little of one aspect is something cars like this, the e30 M3, miata, rx7/rx8 etc.. are almost perfect at, too many modern cars completely lack that balance IMO. personally i think not having a shit ton of power is better for road cars, it puts so much more focus on the rest of your driving, AKA the hard stuff, to keep speed up. not just smashing the throttle and pretending like your a good driver cause you've got 500hp.
