Bindings Griffon vs. FKS

Okay First, I am sorry for another binding thread but I need your guys help. I have never really payed much attention to bindings, but I need a new pair for a net set of skis.
Weight: 180
Height: 6ft
Ability: 3
Skis: K2 Recoil
Eastcoast


SO I really want the FKS becasue of all the good things i have heard about them. However I can get Griffons for $140 or FKS for 300. Are the FKS that much better durability wise? Let me know what yu guys opinions are for my specific weight ability height bs

Do you have a reason? Just curious. I already shelled out like 700 for ski equip this season and was wondering if the cheaper route woulbe be okay

FKS are super safe, and the only binding I really use.

That being said... it's definitely worth paying the extra money for the 18s. I've broken a few pairs of older plastic FKS and one pair of the newer 14s. I'd say it is probably worth paying the extra money for the plastic FKS over the griffons. They will hold up for quite a while.

My only thing is, I dont ride that high of a din. I need to grt my bindings re adjusted anyway cause I grew about 4 inches and gained 30lbs. For my height and wheight wiuld an 18 dine be okay?

I don't either, I'm 5'6'' and 150lbs and usually use 10 or 11 but I still break plastic bindings.

18 is completely fine for your height and weight, just adjust the DIN as necessary. You won't need the high DIN, you'll need the better construction and parts.

I test Markers all day and they are always SOOOO off on the din rating. do yourself a favor and get some FKS 18s. Its literally one of the best bindings ever made. you wont regret it. And as stated, youll have them forever.

Okay FKS is the way to go. BUT
Where the hell can I get them?
Every site is sold out I have found 1 pair for 300 + $20 shipping
I have heard of people getting them for like 140-200 new?
If you guys know where to get them that would be great

expect to pay about 300 for new ones. if you dont need the high din look at getting some used 155s
