Probably we're. I was far from knowledgable back when I bought mine. A complete gaper in the market for a pair of twin tips and ended up buying a pair of carving skis... Glad that I had the chance to learn how to actually carve with them though. I would be a god awful skier nowadays if it weren't for that time I had on the apaches.
Number six there was my second pair of skis following these babies:
I'm sure elan makes solid skis but I'll only ever be able to associate them with my newbsauce stage.
And of course my first twintip/'adult' skis (or so I was told, I now realize few adult males ride a 151) - Salomon 720s
Those were my first pair when my dad started me skiing at like 3 or 4.
My first park skis were 06 K2 silencers. They weren't horrible, but the shop put some crappy plastic salomon on them. I must have broke those bindings a dozen times.
These weren't the exact pair, but i had the same model from when I deserved a pair of skis (didn't need rentals) up until I decided to start skiing park
These bad mama jama's
then when I bought my first pair of skis and decided to start skiing park regularly, switched over to these guys
Not sure abou the frst skis I had, some grey stöcklis.
My first twintips were 09 Line masterminds, which is still used this season. Now they are starting to fall apart and I have to buy new skis for the next season. I love my masterminds.
these were my first pair of new in the plastic skis (I had a larger size than the pic). I was so stoked on them. Up until then I was riding rentals or handmedowns.
I didnt ever own a pair of skis until I was about 13 so i rented rebels or cuts every time i went skiing until then. eventually the shop switched over to k2 omnis which werent terrible.
THEN. By the time i finally was able to buy skis i bought invader minis. I thought they were the sickest skis I had ever seen. I went so hard on those things I delaminated the tips, then the bindings ripped the topsheet off in under half a season. Couldnt get a warranty because I riveted the tips :'(
The first pair of skis I had were some yellow Elan downhill skis that were way too short for me, then I had about 3 more pairs of hand me down/ yard sale skis until my dad got me my first twin tips in 7th grade.
Back mounted Fischer Riu's, idk if that's even the model, it just had those letters on them. haha
skiing since i was 12 and two years ago i bought these, and they still hold up perfectly today. Just amazing skis! Sick graphic! I fear the day they brake on me...
