Search barred this, didn't find anything. I'll start off. Started this season with a zero on the steeze meter. Ended this season at my local mountain with a bunch of new tricks and a lot more style than I started off with. Overall, good times with friends, progressing, learning more about the sport and the community that surrounds it. And I found NewSchoolers! What were your guys' achievements/high points this season?
Yeah basically this. I realized a few days ago that listening to music while was a big factor in my not progressing, unfortunately the season was about wrapped up. However, throughout the season music had given me some new ideas revolving around my style and subconsciously allowed me to progress my own control and coordination while skiing albeit at the cost of pure trick progression.
My season was one of the best I had! Progressed a lot more then I ever thought I would. I've learned that if I put my mind to something I can don anything. I followed that this ski season and now I'm better then I ever thought I would be. I hope next season is as good as this one!
first season actually doing park stuff even though i've been skiing since i was little and now i'm 24.
got ~50 days in. learned so much shit. i can hit 40ft kickers no problem so i can't wait for the next season. gonna setup a summer rail so i can get better at it!
By far my best season! Style progressed, skill progressed, and overall love for the sport progressed! Met a ton of cool people! And had a great season working Park Crew! I say this at the end of every season but this truly was the best season! Amazing!
This was the best season for me ever. Skills progressed A LOT, style progressed, grew some balls and I'm not that scared to try new stuff. Finally got some edits out, met new people and kinda got my name out more. Skied pretty much every day after school and full days on weekends. Did my first competitions where I placed 2nd and won best style award. Ended up being sponsored. /claim
hard decision cause of equipment n stuff, but at the end of the season i'm glad about it! had some nice days in the backcountry!
cliffs and deep powlandings push me way more than a parkjump ever could!
Pulled a Simon Dumont in January. Was going for a shifty 1 over a 30 ft step up/over type jump. Had way too much speed going into it, and knew as soon as I took off I was fucked. Wadded up super hard in the flats and fractured my pelvis in 5 places. Got a gnarly screw holding my sacrum together and had to be on bedrest for 2 and a half months. But I is getting better, and before my injury I got a lot of good days in. It was a fantastic season with an unfortunate end, but hey Shane said it, "I would do it all over again." Now I'm counting down the days til next winter and re-watching every nimbus edit on the daily!
