Considering buying a Flycam Nano, I got some questions.

So i know most of you will say i should get a Glidecam instead, but i dont really wanna spend that much money as im just doing filming casually. right now i have a GoPro Hero3 BE that i film with which will be ok for a Flycamo nano weightwise, but in the future I might buy a Canon t3i for an example with a Tamron 17-50. Now the question is that Flycam says that the Flycam Nano can hold up to 1,5lbs, but a Canon t3i + Tamron 17-50 is 1,65 lbs, would i be fine with that or would the Flycam lose its functionality if its over 1,5 lbs?

ive used a flycam nano with a t3i, tamron 17-50, and a mic and it worked fine

you really shouldn't go over the weight limit, it will affect the balance and therefore the stability

They work but in my experience have a bit of creep side to side that I could never quite balance out. All in all its a good platform to learn about stabilizers on, but if you want something that will last a long time and glide like a dream you gotta choke back the price and go for a glidecam

also to answer the specific question you really shouldn't go over the weight limit, but if it is down to the problem of you not being able to afford the next size up you could probably get away with just buying more washers to add to the bottom as extra counter weight

I've seen videos of people using a 7d and tokina fine with the flycam nano. Should be fine. But get a weildy or one of the other stabilizers, if not a glidecam. Flycams are really sketchy and the metal is shit quality.
