This season in injuries

As the 2012/2013 season come to an end, I'm sure many of you have stories of how far you pushed your limits, and the injuries that were the result of meeting your limits. Let's hear your stories.

I managed to stay fairly healthy, Only a minor concussion, and two torn rotator cuffs (both shoulders).

So, what have you got NS?

I kneed myself in the jaw and now it pops a lot. And my friend stress fractured his tibia.

fractured radial arm(elbow) and fractured rib ran into a tree super fast im lucky i wasnt ina hospital for a long time. and a bunch of other not as bad random shit.

Fell off the bus and stretched ligaments by falling on my ankle. Didn't ski the first month and half of the season. That taught me not to pregame before going into town.

Strained patellar tendon, Stage 1 shoulder separation, ER room for stitches from hitting my face on a flat-down rail and then the myriad of minor and major bumps, bruises and soreness that accompanies any park skiier trying to push their limits.

Luckily nothing serious that kept me out too long. My sprained knee kept me out for almost 3 weeks which sucked but other than that everything else was a 7 day injury max. I've got constant thumb bang though my thumbs are in rough shape.

Popped my left shoulder out 5 times (don't worry only partial). Besides that and the occasional sore knee, no injuries at all not even shinbang, though I do own the magical full tilts.

I went knee to jaw and bit a hole through my lip, chipped my tooth in the process. Also dislocated and broke my wrist got two pins in surgery.

Damn, you guys had some big injuries.

I only got some 1/2 inch teeth marks on the inside of my bottom jaw from hitting my jaw on my knee on a knuckle.  Yes, I have an underbite.

jammed my right thumb many times. banged my leg just above where the boot ends on a rail and broke a little piece of bone off.

Broke my thumb, pulled my mcl in a weird way, dislocated my hip(managed to pop back in place while I was falling), and currently recovering after wrapping myself around a rail. Fell in the area in between the ribs and the hips.

Broke my collarbone on an under rotated backflip in march and got some pretty bad skier's thumb on both my thumbs for a couple months too.

here we go...



hitting urban DFD rail, took too much speed, gapped to the flat section, didn't quite expect to, fell in such a way that my stomach landed right on the second kink and cracked 2 ribs.

hitting urban DFDFD rail, took too much speed yet again, gapped to first flat section, slid out, massive bruise on my left thigh from landing on the rail and potentially tore some muscles.

playing hockey, blocked a slapshot with my hand, broken thumb.

playing hockey, skating towards boards, scramble on the way, opponent trips me on accident, slide into boards, type 2 AC joint separation.

Tore the shit out of my face and hurt my thumb taking it to the Gucci plateau on borrowed skis set to half my usual DIN
Some shinbang, lots of bruises and a possibly sprained wrist. Not a bad season.

Type 1 AC joint separation. (Wasn't too bad). Torn labrum. And a broken foot. None of it kept me out though. I skied through the pain. My foot is gonna take twice as long to heel now. But if was worth it!

got my acl, lateral and medial meniscal tears in december. luckily i had a spare acl chillin in front of my knee that my doc slapped where the old one used to be. he even gave me drugs, what a good experience

i've been really lucky, I haven't done too much damage to myself. Really the only thing I did was cut my lip and scrape up my face pretty bad landing on my straight on my face after failing to do a tail grab
