Rodeo 5 easier than backflip?

it's all subjective but... no. i think you'll have a hard time finding anyone that thinks a misty is easier than rodeos or backies. but everyone is different... start with whichever one you can completely visualize yourself doing and will commit to

also idk if this is why you asked about misties, but misties are definitely the easiest trick jumping off shit into water/diving boards, but that's because the way you spring off is an easy set for a misty, not so with snow. backies are the ones that are more "natural" hitting a jump... watch a gaper hit a jump he's not prepared for, his hips will get sent in front of his body...

that was part of the reason I asked, because it's easy as hell doing off a diving board/on a tramp. I can throw misty 9's on a tramp, but I've never done it on snow. it does make sense that it's harder though because, as you said, the momentum on snow is a natural set for a backflip. thanks man I appreciate it

yeah exactly, believe me i love misties up to 10 on diving boards etc and im still sorta scared to throw misties on snow. you just don't have the spring into the flip on your side like you do on tramp etc. but yeah backy will feel almost the exact same as a gainer except on snow you have the momentum on your side and some weight on your feet

Back flips are so much easier by a long shot. And once you've landed 3 or 4 solid backflips and stomped them, you feel really comfortable with them, as opposed to a switch 9 or something that takes awhile to learn to do them well, and do them consistently ( least it was that way with me ). And once you got the backy down just adjust speed and airtime depending on the jump etc, and now you can do literally one of the funnest tricks in my opinion. A good ol backflip is way easy, but stomping a nice laid out backflip is ALWAYS fun ! Plus on shitty days you can just mob around and find things to huck backies off of, super fun, and makes a shitty day condition wise into a blast no matter what. have fun dood, such a fun easy trick. And i know that for me personally , it actually helped learning the backflip first when i was first trying to learn rodeo fives , and i know it even helped me learn a cork seven as well. Go throw a backflip then do a normal seven next, then for the cork 7 just add the two together, helped me personally .

TL:DR Backflips are fun as hell.
