if you're on ableton pull in an eq 8 for the sub part of the kick you don't want anything above 40-60hz so get a lowpass filter on filter 8 and pull the freq nob to the left so that you don't get anything past 40-60.
NOW for the kick sound set filter 1 to highpass and pull the frequency right so that its letting the frequencies just after the sub go. maybe compress this sound a little bit and put the attack very low and the release at around 8:45 for punch.
THEN: adjust the levels of each so they are smooth and then run both into a bus/group and compress them together.
btw are you on ableton 8 or 9?
and dude with kicks, just make your life easy and use a sample. eq, mix and mash different kicks together. making a good solid kick from scratch is one of the hardest things you can do.
